Principal
Adam Svet is a Principal at Secure Talent, a sister company of the Eastridge Group of Staffing Companies. Adam was previously Eastridge’s Director of Strategic Planning and Chief Administrative Officer. In these roles, he managed transaction and litigation matters for the $220 million dollar staffing firm. He dealt extensively with risk mitigation issues, including those relating to 1099 compliance. Adam also oversaw senior level recruitment and targeted business development. In addition, Adam has an extensive track record of community involvement. He is a member of the CEO Roundtable at the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce and is active with San Diego State University’s Entrepreneurial Management Center. Adam also serves on the Advisory Board and California Council for the Scripps Research Institute, a nationally-recognized medical research center. He has been an invited speaker at numerous forums, with an expertise in intergenerational family business and philanthropy. A California native, Adam earned a B.A. with honors from the University of San Diego. He holds a J.D. from the University of Southern California, where he was a merit scholarship recipient.
General Counsel
As general counsel for Secure Talent’s parent company, Eplica Corporate Services, Inc., Mark Hanna advises Secure Talent senior managers and staff on labor and employment law matters to support our clients. Additional responsibilities include drafting client agreements and staff contracts, as well as conducting employment law seminars and supervisor training. Previously, Mark was employed with a labor and employment law firm for five years in Central California, where he handled a wide variety of litigated matters for the firm, including discrimination cases, wrongful discharge actions, sexual harassment claims, and wage and hour lawsuits in state and federal courts. Mark’s employment law expertise secured him a weekly spot on a Fresno-based FOX news affiliate, presenting a question-and-answer session on a recurring business segment. He is a contributor on the topic of employment law to a Purdue University textbook and frequently leads roundtable sessions regarding employment law matters. Mark earned a Juris Doctor from the California Western School of Law in San Diego, an MBA in finance from Bentley College in Boston, Mass., and a Bachelor of Science from Daniel Webster College in Nashua, N.H. He is an active member of the American Corporate Counsel Association and the American Bar Association.
Senior Counsel and Director of Compliance Services
Kathy Breedlove is a California licensed attorney with over 10 years of labor and employment law experience. A featured speaker on numerous employment and labor law topics, Kathy previously served as general counsel for a top 100 U.S. staffing firm. In this capacity, Kathy created the company’s legal department and was responsible for management and oversight of all legal matters, including state and federal agency claims, litigation, and employment agreements. As Senior Counsel and Director of Compliance Services for Secure Talent, Kathy leads the company’s worker classification and risk assessment practice. Kathy works with clients ranging from Silicon Valley startups to Fortune 100 companies, helping them to minimize the risk associated with engagement of 1099 contractors. Kathy holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University, a J.D. (Magna Cum Laude) from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and a Masters in Business Leadership from the University of San Diego. She is a member of the American Corporate Counsel Association.
Senior Director of Client Services
Stephen Hubbard brings a decade of accounting expertise and client service to his role as Sr. Director of Client Services at Secure Talent. Stephen’s primary role at Secure Talent is to ensure the highest levels of client engagement, from set up to deliver to ongoing customer service. He oversees payroll and benefits administration, supporting a national payroll program that is aimed at meeting our clients’ operational objectives. He manages Secure Talent’s back office technology platforms, such as VCG, eEmpACT, and Kronos. Prior to joining Secure Talent in 2009, Stephen focused his efforts on payroll and benefits administration for two affiliated staffing divisions, Eplica Services and The Eastridge Group of Staffing Companies. In that role, he managed a multi-state payroll and billing system, generating over 15,000 checks per year. Stephen has also worked for Tiffany & Co. and American Airlines. Stephen holds an MBA in International Business from Benedictine University, as well as a B.A. in Liberal Arts from San Diego State University.
Practice Lead, Client Services
John Nerstad joined Secure Talent with more than 20 years of excellence in client services and over 10 years of 1099 compliance and risk mitigation expertise. John currently leads the client services organization for Secure Talent. In this role John oversees all payroll, human resources, benefits, AP/AR, Workers’ Compensation, Safety, quality assurance and client/employee satisfaction. Prior to joining Secure Talent in 2008, John was a client services manager for WorkforceLogic LLC where he managed client service specialists and client relationships, including four on-site programs. John excelled in this role and was awarded the company’s President’s Club for outstanding customer service and for exceeding clients’ and employee expectations. Additional career experience includes further roles at WorkforceLogic as a client services specialist and customer service representative. As a client services manager, John managed up to 250 employees and 18 accounts across the US and Canada. He was also a recipient of the Nelson Family of Companies Outstanding Operations Associate award in 2002. John also had an extensive career with Nordstrom and received numerous awards for going above and beyond expectations! John holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration and economics from San Diego State University.
Account Manager
Deb Kulisek brings over 15 years of accounting and client service expertise to her role at Secure Talent. As Account Manager, Deb’s primary responsibilities include supporting Secure Talent’s national payroll program and servicing of major accounts. Her role directly supports the high-level of service to which our clients are accustomed.
Deb proudly served in the U.S. Armed Forces and had key roles in supporting the C-Level management of major corporations such as Fender Musical Instruments and Longevity Alliance.
Deb holds professional certifications from New Mexico State University and the Long Beach College of Business.
