The Eastridge Group of Staffing Companies Expand Bay Area Presence
SAN FRANCISCO, November 1, 2010 – One of the country’s leading staffing firms has launched an effort to strengthen its business in Northern California with the transfer of a key executive.
Adam Svet has been appointed today to the Bay Area region for The Eastridge Group of Staffing Companies. Svet is a Principal of the company and has been relocated to San Francisco from the firm’s headquarters in San Diego.
“For over two decades, our company has grown into a market leader in the Bay Area,” says Svet. “In a region known for being on the technological frontier, we provide key services and personnel to companies driving that advance.”
Svet will be tasked with expanding the firm’s regional presence, especially through the growth of its Secure Talent and Essential Discovery brands.
Secure Talent assists clients managing 1099 compliance and payroll issues. Companies in the Bay Area and beyond have turned to Secure Talent to categorize workers as employees or independent contractors, a decision with important labor law and tax implications.
Essential Discovery focuses on document review staffing. Svet hopes to expand Essential Discovery’s business in the Bay Area, while continuing growth in other legal markets.
Svet comes to San Francisco from San Diego, where he served as Eastridge’s Director of Strategic Planning and Chief Administrative Officer. In these roles, he managed transaction and litigation matters for the privately-held staffing firm. He dealt extensively with risk mitigation issues, including those relating to 1099 compliance. Svet also oversaw senior level recruitment, fostered business development, and directed the integration of three major corporate acquisitions.
In addition to his Eastridge work, Svet has had extensive community involvement. Svet is a member of the CEO Roundtable at the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce and is active with San Diego State University’s Entrepreneurial Management Center. He also serves on the Advisory Board for the Scripps Research Institute, a nationally-recognized medical research center. Svet has also been an invited speaker at numerous forums, with an expertise in intergenerational family business and philanthropy.
A California native, Svet holds a B.A. from the University of San Diego and a J.D. from the University of Southern California.
